DJ Tendraw and The Gypsies Dog

DJ Tendraw is the alter-ego of London based artist and musician Michael Shaw.

Described as “the British pioneer of circuit bending” and a “Musical Anarchist” he has performed and exhibited nationally and internationally for over a decade.

Primarily an experimental turntablist, his practice encompasses sound, sculpture, installation, video, radio, performance and event.

One half of the circuit bent free noise duo DJ Tendraw & The Gypsies Dog and founder of The Gluerooms (2003), his work investigates Play and the hidden potential of electronic circuits in children’s musical toys and the repurposing of electronic hardware and data to create a palette of otherwise unheard sounds and musicality.
