DeJuan, who is affectionately known to fellow musicians, fans, family and friends as "DJ" was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. His family later made their way to Arlington, Texas, where DeJuan considers his home. When asked, DeJuan is easily described by those who know him as one of the most humble, and talented people they know.

Like most gifted musicians, DeJuan's musical talents were discovered very early on. While only in third grade, DeJuan was employed by Silver-Burdett Ginn singing on children's audiobooks. During this time he traveled to several us states performing at the Silver-Burdett Ginn Conventions.

DeJuan continued to pursue his passion for singing throughout his school years. By the time he was in high school, he was the co-founder, lead singer, choreographer, and co-producer of the R&B band 138. Collectively, 138 were very well known and admired on the local scene. They made several tv appearances, including a local cable variety show, Trix N The Hat, eventually doing the vocals for their theme song. In 2005, 138 opened for Lil Bow Wow in Dallas, TX. By their high school graduation, they had sold over 5,000 CDs featuring their home grown originals.

DeJuan was featured in the Sony Urban/Gig America talent showcase which featured over 30 contestants. He won first place, gaining a $50,000 consultation deal.

Later in 2005, DeJuan connected with XLR records rap sensation Inertia. DeJuan was featured on Inertia's hit Bus Stop, which recieived 450 spins per week across the United States. The Duo gained the admiration and the privelege of airplay on Dallas radio stations K104, and 106.7. They also performed for the last three years at the Core DeeJay retreat held in Dallas and New Orleans, as well as the Texas Music Festival, and K104 Kwanzaa Fest 2008.

DeJuan continues to perform on stages across the country. If you've not seen him perform yet, just stay tunedthere's much more to come!
