DJ Sammy

After years of worldwide success, and more than 20 million albums sold, DJ Sammy is one of the most popular DJ/Producers on the club scene, and one of Spain's greatest exports.
Sammy has one distinct flavour, positivity. He has taken this energy to every corner of the world, absorbing the culture and vibe at some of the most prestigious venues, leaving his message of love and happiness through his musical epiphany where ever he plays.
The Balearic islands, the birth mother to this charismatic DJ, provided him with the tools that he needed to evolve into the sensation that he became. Harnessing the sun, beach, sea and full on party atmosphere, Sammy truly understood the "Feel Good Factor" and was able to transmit this to the dance floor, this energy is what brought him such commercial success globally.
In 1984, with a degree in music technology, DJ Sammy started his music career. Carving a undying reputation in the clubs of Majorca. He first played at Zorba's, whilst DJ'ing on the Cadena Top radio station. 1992 marked a major entry in Mallorca club history when DJ Sammy became resident at the Joy Palace Club in Arenal, this party became the biggest event in Mallorcan history, and lasted for almost 11 years, the party and DJ Sammy are still spoken about today.



In November 1995, DJ Sammy released his first single "Life Is Just a Game" with the singer Marie José. The track became a top 10 hit in the Spanish record chart. Other singles, such as "You're My Angel" and "Prince of Love", were popular in the German record chart. In June 1998, DJ Sammy released his debut album, Life Is Just a Game, to huge acclaim. DJ Sammy was then able to found his own dance music labels, Super M Records, and the Gamba Music Company.



Sammy's next ground breaking opportunity appeared in 2001 when he began to put his own name to his work. The single Heaven featuring Dutch vocalist Do, provided Sammy with a platform and massive success in Europe and Australia with 2 million records sold. His success continued in the USA where "Heaven" reached #2 in U.S. singles chart before going to the UK in 2002 and hitting #1. Sammy followed up "Heaven" with a remake of, Don Henley's, Boys of Summer, which shot to #2 on the UK charts. Sammy continues to be the best selling electronic music DJ of all time.



In both the electronic and Pop world, DJ SAMMY is unstoppable. The last few years Sammy has kept a frantic pace in terms of pop production, where both domestic and international artists are concerned. In 2005 he settled back in Mallorca, with his studio, after having travelled all continents thanks to selling, over, 20 million copies of all his productions.



Today, national artists such as David Bisbal, Chenoa, Marta Sanchez, Soraya, and Nuria Fergo, have DJ Sammy's magic touch in their productions. Thanks to this, and his unstoppable career as a producer of prestige, these productions have risen and hit the top of the charts. Sammy is constantly inundated with requests to work with world class names such as Madonna.



In 2009 The Ministry of Sound, the prestigious stamp in the electronic music world, signed, once again, for him to launch their new album. Ministry of Sound "Sessions" Germany, mixed by DJ Sammy, hit all the Marks.
In the summer of 2009, Sammy jet-setted around the globe demonstrating some of the crazy good tracks that he had in his arsenal of new work, songs like "Feel the Love", "4love", and his remix of, "Michael Jackson's", "EARTH SONG".
Not only is he promoting, producing, and touring, he still has time to produce international pop artists. In 2009 he produced September, and Mikel Johnson, along with many other collaborations. Many artists have passed through the studio, using the services the studio offers, like the German sweet heart, Nena.
MyClubRoom has been the baby of DJ Sammy since its inception, a new concept, that encompasses a music Internet TV, on club events around the globe, plus, a weekly radio programme, hosted by Sammy, welcoming, world renowned, guest DJ's from around the globe, including Ferry Corsten, Bob Sinclair, and many more.



In true, DJ Sammy, style he directs the programme, of electronic music. With over a million listeners, the show is becoming the most listened to FM radio nationally, and internationally, in Germany, Czech Republic, Brazil, South Africa, USA. www.myclubroom.com takes the show to the rest of the world via the Internet.

Sammy brings us the freshest tunes of the moment, along with presenting all of his new productions, not to mention inviting the best DJ's in the world to his programme, bringing a different flavour each week.



In the Summer of 2010, Privilege-Ibiza opened its doors, every Tuesday, to MyClubRoom, hosting the event of the year on the biggest stage in Europe, MyClubRoom out did all expectations, and was voted Ibiza's Revelation party of 2010. MyClubRoom has taken the Ibiza experience and mixed it with classic showbiz, bringing the essence of the island together with the Spectacular!
2011 will once again see this outstanding event in Privilege, opening to the public on the 28th of June, and is due to run until the 6th of September. Its a night that once again is gonna blow a whole in the Ibiza club scene. Led once again by, master and commander, DJ Sammy with resident DJ's Julian Vegas, Enric Ricone & Danny Fernandez. The collaboration of great music, world leading DJ's, surprise guest artists, a 150 metre sq LED screen (the biggest in the world), amazing lights, lasers and visuals, acrobats,dancers, performers, a trilogy show led by the beautiful bomb shell Nyah, and live musicians appearing through the evening, will give the clubber, yet again, an experience not to be missed.
To continue the MyClubRoom brand, Sammy has also established a new label, "MyClubRoom recordings", the first release will be Julian Vegas & Jordi Villalta "Ghost'n Paradise", just one of many electronic products Sammy has prepared.
2010 saw the planning for Sammy's new album, a box of musical delights, he has collaborated with some huge names in the industry.
Finally the album is complete, and the first single, "Animal", will be released on Robins Entertainment in the USA in May 2011, featuring "Black Eyed Peas" writer Jean Baptiste, and Sammy's very own prodigy, Nyah, the British born club sensation, Critics are already Hailing the album as "a revelation".
Miss Kookie is a retry pop/dance project developed and produced by Sammy, the truly original artist exploded on to the German scene with the remake of, the classic, "Puttin on the Ritz", Sammy is preparing the second release of this hugely popular artist, for the summer of 2011.
