DJ Primo

Self taught in the DJ art form, he has been behind the wheels of steel since 2004. Recognized as the undisputed “King of Christian Chopped and Screwed” DJ Primo was the first Christian DJ to create slowed down remixes for other recording artists and labels such as Much Luvv Records, The 116 Clique, SGR Music Group, Knine, Excelsius, Urban D, Rawsrvnt and Pettidee just to name a few. Recording Artists and Labels seek Primo out to create custom slowed down remixes of their hottest tracks for release worldwide. DJ Primo is Much Luvv Records’ in-house DJ.
He currently has a Mixshow "Chopin' It Up with DJ Primo" on DaSouth Radio Network as well as producer of the Much Luvv Radio Show. You can check his own podcast on iTunes “The DJ Primo Mixshow”. Not only does he make chopped and screwed remixes, but he also creates Reggaeton, Duranguense remixes, video mashups and chopped and screwed videos. DJ Primo is a Video Jockey as well.
Along with his wife, 4 year old daughter and new born son, he currently resides in Houston. He has 10 years of military service, including three tours overseas, the first to Iraq in 2003, second to Afghanistan in 2007 and is currently deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (Operation New Dawn).
When he is not deployed overseas or training to fight and defeat terrorism DJ Primo spins every Tuesday at the J. Prince Complex 3000 Jensen in Houston along with Tre9 and the whole Hip Hop Hope Staff. You can also find him encouraging the body of Christ, sharing his powerful testimony with others or taking the Gospel to prisons, ghettos, hoods and suburbs through the 1s and 2s
