Omas started off as a listener of hip hop/soul/jazz and funk on old tapes which led to him becoming a dj and perfecting the craft of cutting and scratching on the ones and twos and collecting all kinds of records.
This led to him dj’ing alongside people such as public enemy,cash money,shortkut,lord finesse,black thought,souls of mischief,dj format,andy c,dj woody,shaun vinylment,rich medina,j-walk,l double,mr thing and yungun,jon kennedy,dabrye and many more. Omas has done numerous radio slots with mikey don(krispy3),unity radio,groovement,all fm,dope fm(canada)and more. Has dj'd at events such as the warehouse project,d-percussion,futuresonic,mind on fire,taste the diff'rence,eurocultured,sketch city,at large,hit and run plus so many more in the uk. has held down countless residencies across the north west of england,including the current 'Yes You May' and 'Neighbourhood' ones and continues to regularly play at other jams in the uk and further afield like the recent Soundwave croatia dates.Omas is also one of the founding members of At Large.
With a lethal touch on the crossfader and mpc pads omas is digger of records old and new and producer of hip hop and soul music with the AT LARGE crew (13,orko,lewis bee) aswell as a slew of other artists from the uk and further afield.
Omas is also the dj for The natural curriculum, Mind On Fire band collaborator and is signed to My First Moth records as a recording artist.
Currently more focused on production and instrumentation Omas’ production shows traits of the 90’s boom bap era with a modern day soulful twist. A huge music lover with a record collection to boot,dj sets from omas are a turntablists journey through the dopest of breaks,beats, rhythms and anything else that sounds good and rocks the floor.
