The 34-year-old Niels van Gogh from Augsburg/Germany has been already spinning the turntables since 1994 at Clubs and events like Nature One Festival, Rave on Snow, the Energy Festival in Switzerland and the Love Parade in Berlin.
Furthermore he was Resident DJ at the Pleasure Dome Club in Augsburg from 1997 til 2000.
From 2000 until 2004 he was Resident DJ at the legendary Poison Club in Duesseldorf, where he rocked the floor every Sunday morning!
With his special Electro House Sound he is fascinating everyone all over Europe (e.g. Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Italy.) and the rest of the World (e.g. Israel, Thailand, South Africa.).
Niels van Gogh was also Headliner at the South Africa Tour in August 1999 which brought him to Sun City and Johannesburg. Niels played at several big festivals at the Cape, where he is said to be a popstar after releasing his smash hit "Pulverturm".
"Pulverturm" was the first release of the DJ and producer Niels van Gogh on Kosmo Records.
This absolutely smashing Club track was produced together with "the electronic freak" Eniac, who is also well-known for his Tom Novy productions. "Pulverturm" follows his preference for pulsating sounds and hypnotic pushing basslines, with an amazing vocal ("Oh no no."), that never leaves your ears.
This track was the highest entry of the Top 100 German Media Control Charts and had its highest position at 19. "Pulverturm" was the best-selling Vinyl Single of the year 1998. It reached Gold status in Belgium and reached the Top 20 of France, Netherlands and South Africa. It also reached the UK Top 40 in England.
Therefore Niels gladly received the mention "Discomaniac" for over 20.000 sold Vinyls at the German Dance Award in the year 2000.
In 2003 he closed a contract with Media Records. Shortly after, the single "One Way Out" of his first album was released. This track turned out to be an absolute Clubburner in Spring 2004. In Fall 2004 Media Records released the second single "Don't Be Afraid Of Tomorrow". This one was even more ravishing and reached Top 3 of the German Dance Charts (DDC). Gigs at MTV, VIVA, Sunshine Live an a big tour were the consequence.
After intensive work, his first album "No Way Out" came into the market, which not only sent his fans into rapture. The meanwhile classic "Pulverturm" was also on the album and built a link from the past to present.
In 2006, after a creative period and several releases and remixes, the time was ripe to announce the second album "Frequenzklang".
A new Niels van Gogh was born: ripe, more modern, more stylish, however unmistakably in his elementary arrangements. Ingenious electro house productions, framed by a perfect Intro and Outro, inspire your senses and spoil your ears. Danceable tracks alternate with relaxing grooves, surrounded by melodic and electronic sounds.
2007 was the year of reunification of Niels van Gogh and Eniac. They started the new project "Niels van Gogh vs. Eniac" and got signed to Kosmo Records. The first single was a new version of their stunning Classic, now called "Pulverturm 2.0". It exceeded all expectations and went directly to Number 1 of the charts of DDC (German Dance Charts) and the Swiss Dance Charts. Especially the Eric Smax & Thomas Gold remix is rocking every Club at the moment. The track also reached the Top 10 of the download charts of Ministry of Sound and Beatport.com. Kosmo Records already closed deals with record companies in France, Belgium, Netherlands, South Africa, Czech Republic etc. .
Pretty good prospects for both of them and we are curious what we hear from them soon.
