Born in Hong Kong, DJ MSG is the most flavor packed import to hit New York after dim sum. In terms of genre, his selections range across the board playing an open format. Mixing rock, hip hop, classics, disco, to deep soulful house depending on the night and the party.
A trained musical producer and recording engineer, MSG's first DJ gig was at New York City's Mecca for deep house, Shelter NYC. He later stayed on with the Shelter organization for a number of years working closely with New York Maestro Timmy Regisford and Kevin Hedge of Blaze.
Since 1998 MSG went on to play all over the city from art openings, fashion events to weekly parties. Freight, Thirteen little devils, Roseland Ballroom, Bob bar, Abaya, The Five Spot, Nobu, Lombard Freid Gallery, Opus 22, Cielo, Shelter, Love, Avalon, & APT were a few of the venues he appeared in. MSG has current residencies at Love, Room Service, Catch 22, & Santos Party House.
