Born & raised on the Eastside of Long Beach, DJ Money $B$ began his career at the young age of 8, as a local neighborhood DJ and quickly grew into music production, becoming one of Long Beach's first Rap & Hip-Hop producers. By the time he reached his teen years, DJ Money B was producing & DJ'ing for various local artists including Domino, who would later go onto being the multi-platinum selling artist most known for the anthem "Ghetto Jam" and Sinful & I-Man; the legendary duo known as Tha Mexakinz. By the time he reached age 17, DJ Money $B$ was organizing, booking, promoting and DJ'ing various local concerts that were broadcasted live on the original legendary radio station 1580 KDAY, with artists such as Eazy E, N.W.A., Rodney O & Joe Cooley, Egyptian Lover, JJ Fad, The Cover Girls, Expose, etc. Another project, and main focus, was producing for his close friends Warren G, Snoop Dogg & Nate Dogg, collectively known as 213. He is credited with producing the first songs ever recorded by Snoop Dogg, Warren G and Nate Dogg, including the underground hit "Long Beach Is A Muthafucka" (later to be featured on Snoop Dogg's "E-True Hollywood Story" & VH1's "Behind The Music", etc). These recordings, originally intended for local parties and neighborhoods, would later end up in the hands of Dr. Dre and forever change the rap music industry. Throughout the years, other projects and positions have included: Rap/R&B Editor of Cash Box Magazine; Contributing Editor, Rap Pages Magazine; Editor, America's Mainstream magazine; Vice President, Westworld Records/Black Owned Entertainment (Above The Law, Kokane, Big Hutch); Management for POP Corporation Japan; DJ and engineer for Warren G; among many other projects. Making major contributions to the developement of the West Coast music scene, DJ Money $B$ has proven to be a true legend in the music industry.
