dj Methodist aka David Handford began experimenting with sound and electronics back in 1979 and has become full time at this since 1991.
After setting up Post Office Records in an old Welsh sub post office in 2001, he now resides in London where he continues to create edgy electronic based work, along with a more pop soaked sound in collaboration with Jim Copperthwaite, Dan Jones and Matt Wilcox.
dj Methodist started life with the solo, techno tinged electronics of 2001's "Radio St.Dogmaels" and 2003's "Trepan Yourself". More recent electro pop/punk singles have featured vocalists such as Molara, Jo Shapland, and Jim Copperthwaite on 2005's "Digital", 2006's "Sirens" and 2008's "Other Worlds".
His latest release is a cover of Robert Calvert's "The Right Stuff" from the seminal 1974 album "Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters", backed with the paranoic influenced ECHELON.
The "Seven Nights" album is scheduled for release in Autumn 2010.
David's other projects include visual art such as MoD's "Chapel Couture", a film based electronic music show, and construction of sonic artworks such as "Sonic Chair" (currently showing at Biorhythm, Science Gallery, Dublin), "Monolith", and "Ripple Tank".
