TOP FLIGHT DJ'S DJ MENACE BIO:

The dance floor begins to fill. The lights begin to bounce off the party people who came to unwind to the music. Everything in the air starts to build intensity. The sweat rolls off a sexy young lady that is bumping and grinding. Something special is happening as the floor shakes with anticipation of what is going to be played next. As the energy increases and everyone is having their ultimate care free experience. Someone who never heard Menace before says who is the DJ up there? "He is really puttin it down" And then a familiar stuttering effect sound of a female with a slightly sensual yell answers the question, "DJ MENACE IZ DA BOMB!!!" It rattles the walls and send chills through your body and lets the audience know that it's in for something special tonight.

Unlike many DJ's who go through the motions and just play what is popular at the present moment, Menace takes it where others fear or dare to go. "I'm a total crowd motivator, the crowd feeds off my energy". If that means taking you back in time sparking special memories and lifelong experiences of the past or just reminding all music lovers of there forgotten favorite tunes mixed with everything from reggae to baltimore club music , old school hip hop to reggaeton , disco to classic rock, and just selecting the right crowd-pleasing sound and musical experience that amplifies everyone's energy to new levels. I want the people out of their seats , enjoying me , enjoying the music , enjoying the vibe I have built for the night. "I love to get the people involved". That's the only way I do what i do. That's where I get my satisfaction in this DJ game that I love so much.

DJ Menace was born with a burning desire, and love for the music. He watched and was inspired by Run DMC and Jam Master Jay , Kurtis Blow , Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five , and became totally fascinated with the Hip Hop culture and later all types of music in general. After becoming a member of the popular B-Boy / Break dance crew R.V.C. which means "Rock Vicious Crew," Menace polished his b-boy / break dancing skills as he and his crew went on to participate in many successful events. Appearing in many competitions and even a music video as the main breakdancers. As the whole b-boy / break dance movement started to fade something else in the culture grabbed his undivided attention. The art of DJ'ing. He stayed up many nights listening to the live broadcasts from the clubs on the radio , studying the party vibe and mood , and was watching videos of the legendary DJ's from back in the day do their thing. He learned to master the art of rocking a party. He created his own style that many would try to emulate as his popularity would soar.

Menace inched his way onto the scene with the blue-collar approach of DJ'ing the hottest most legendary house parties to date and began creating mix tapes with his own style and flair. With many sleepless nights and strong self promotion he managed to turn that dream into his Life!

He soon became a very hot commodity on the club scene, performing all over the east coast in many NY, NJ, and PA hotspots, he then landed a college radio show called "The MixxTape Flavors Show" which catapulted the station's popularity to record levels. Eager to continue building his name, he landed several high profile gigs in the city of Philadelphia along with some of the radio stations and personalities he grew up listening to. Rockin the biggest most notorious clubs in the city of brotherly love , making numerous appearances mixing on some of the top rated radio stations in the tri-state area. Menace shined and continued to prove his legacy. He entered and won two DJ Mixx competitions, becoming the Mountain Dew Mixx Off Champiom and later the Grand Master Of Mixx Champion at Castle Hill.

His face became a part of the worldwide syndicated boxing / music television show called Thunderbox where he landed the official DJ / Host job. His crowd controlling abilities flourished pumping up the fighters as they came to the ring, introducing the artist and electrifying the arena filled crowds in between boxing matches mixing and cutting it up with ease. Some of the staff from the TV show were in the ABE area and heard Menace doing his thing on the airwaves and ultimately showed up at the station offering him the job. He gave much of the world its first taste of his abilities, performing live on TV as a DJ.

From that, Menace became a heavily demanded entertainment personality by many of the industry's most respected people. DJ Menace has performed with and opened up for extensively with many popular artists such as Fat Joe, Remy Martin, Mobb Deep, Cuban Link, Mr. Vegas, Fatman Scoop, LiL Cease, Memphis Bleek, Drag-On, Rob Base & Dj Ez Rock, Beanie Sigel, Onyx, Cnn (Capone & Nore), Junior Mafia, Lil Kim, Mos Def, The Alkaholiks, Tony Sunshine, Missy Elliott, Don Chezina, Freeway, Peedi Crack, EPMD, Redman, Papoose, Amerie, Jim Jones , Project Pat , and Angie Martinez.

Capitalizing on his success and experiences Menace was an influental part of building and opening up a Nightclub called Catch 22. Working very hard for a full year (up to 14 hours a day) and very little time for himself or his family to build his dream. Things have turned out well. Now after 6 successful years in business (EST. 2002) Catch 22 has become a popular multi-level entertainment facility. There are three complete floors each with there own theme.

As for the future, Menace intends on expanding on his formula for success. He says "Changing with the times is an important asset, but also keeping it true to the roots and history of it all is key". Considering himself a true B-Boy for life" he is a firm believer in the saying "hard work pays off." He says "I still have a lot of work ahead of me to get where I want to be. Although I've already exceeded the expectations of many of my peers, critics, haters and fans. With the many obstacles that life throws in your way, hopefully someday I can be remembered for my special gifts God has given me as an Entertainer, DJ, B-Boy, Father, Husband, and as a Hard Working Man.
