+In 1993 DJ MC became intrigued by the world of Hip Hop. Influenced by his older cousins whom rapped, djed and did graffiti art it was easy for this to happen. This interest sparked his desire to begin writing rhymes. During the next two years he worked on improving his skills, gaining a reputation for having slick lines and a Nas like swagger. In 1995 he arrived at NC State University and became an on air personality at WKNC 88.1. It was during his 3 successful years at WKNC 88.1 that he made the transformation from an emcee to a DJ. He spent the next two years practicing and observing his mentors in action. Using his work on one of the highest rated college mix shows in NC as a strong platform he began his siege of college parties.



+In 2001 DJ MC had taken over the party scene for North Carolina colleges. He was DJing major events across NC including UNC’s Greek Freak, the largest step show and afterparty in the Southeast. During this time he was also working as the Assistant to Regional Marketing Director for Elektra Records in NC. Using this position as a starting point he began to expand out of the local area. His hard work landed him on a promo tour with ICONZ and a summer gig DJing at New York’s famous Club NV. 2001 was also the birth of The Untouchables, now “The Coalition DJs” , consisting of himself and five other DJs based on skill and the love of being an all around DJ. This means being a turntablist, radio, mixtape and party dj along with having personality on the mic. The next few years were spent improving his craft and traveling over the east coast all while rooming with close friend 9th Wonder. This made his home the homebase for “The Justus League” and the center of NC hip hop. During this time he was personally involved in the recording and production of Little Brother’s debut album “The Listening”. Soon after that he took up management, joined the mixtape game and became one of the esteemed Justo Mixtape Allstars.



+Performing all over the US he has made LA his second home with regular bookings over the past 4 years. You can find him rocking out at clubs like LAX, Cabana Club & The Highlands on any given night. Also be on the look out for DJ MC and LA’s own DJ Mike Danger engaged in their 2 man 4 turntable party sets for a melting pot of joints and jams mixed and tricked to perfection. Adaptable to any crowd he is the only dj in the Carolinas to have cheif residencies at a Top 40 club (Raleigh, NC) and an Urban club (Greensboro NC) at the same time. All while doing the Carolinas largest Old School party in the state monthly (Charlotte, NC). DJ MC is also a member of 102 Jamz “Wild Out Wake Up Morning Show” where he executes “The Morning Breakfast Mix”. He is a sure talent and with that said. enough said.
