One of the DJs that contributed and still contributes for today's Dance music in Portugal.
He started off in 1981 but it was only at the beginning of 1982 that he decided to be a full-time DJ. His route was sufficiently long. His ascent took place in the late 80s, more precisely in 1988 when he came to be one of the resident DJs at the famous Plateau. In October of 1993,he decided to accept the invitation to work at the Alcantara Mar where he remained until its closure. In March of 1999, he started being very demanded to work at the best national and European Clubs. He, for example, worked in France, Spain, England, Luxemburg and Norway.
Between 1989 and 1993, he was a resident in some Clubs in Lisbon. His named travelled through various Clubs in our country after numerous remarkable nights. He has participated in the biggest national events next to great international names such as Danny, Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, François K, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Dave Clark and many more.
In February of 1993, along with other colegues of the same profession, he organized the first great dance event in Portugal. This was the remarkable night at the Convento de S. Francisco in the city of Coimbra.
With the Alcantara Mar, there was the great Dance Music boom in Portugal. He was then invited to record his first remix CD with a Club name, Alcantara Mar The House of Rhythm. It was a golden record and the best selling CD in Portugal with over 30 000 sold records. Luis Leite is the first national DJ to have received a symbolic level, a golden record for the sales mentioned above.
From then on, he never stopped getting invitations to record remixes CDs. The Alcantara Mar The House of Rhythm, was then followed by volumes 2 and 3. Luis Leite has recorded until today a total of 9 remix CDs.
In 1994 was when he started off with Production with L.L. Project with Rui da Silva as a co-producer. His first records great success was something not even he expected; containing two original themes one of them still very demanded on todays dance floors. Were speaking of Khine3 that had an edition of new remixes in 2006 by the national editor Kaos Records Portugal. To reveal his own works and his musical diversity, he chose different names such as Delicado, DarkMountainGroup, Crystal Symphony, L.L. Project, as well as the project he has with the DJ/Producer Zé Mig.L, the LM Connection.
For the Tribo records, one of the editors of the Chus & Ceballos duo, as Crystal Simphony, came out Native Women in 2004, that got to know a new edition with new remixes in 2005. With the Delicado Project, the theme Go Inside starring Claudia Francos voice, was edited in late 2005 in the United States by the Undo Records. Still with the Delicado Project and with the well known model/actress Fernanda Serranos voice, a theme called Amo.te was also edited during the year 2005. This compilation included two versions of the Amo.te theme; The original version as more of a jazz-electro vertent and the other more directed to the dance floor.
With the DarkMountainGroup, a project with a bit over 1 year of age, he edited his first work, the theme Lose Control with the Buzzin Fly Records which belonged to the well known musician/DJ/Producer from one of the emblematic 80s bands, the Everything But The Girl. This theme awakened the most fantastic and unexpected reactions in the press related to Club Culture and to internationally known DJs. It was already the theme of the week of the famous British website, BBC on the first week of the month of March of this year. It also had a 1st place entrance on the British DJ Magazines Hype Chart of the first half of the month of April.
Luis Leite has been nominated in various categories by the Dance Club Awards since 2001. In 2004, he was nominated for the: Best National House DJ, Best National Hit Single, Best National Compilation and Best Event categories having won the Best National Compilation nomination.
He is an electic DJ with his very own and unique style. He is of easy adaptation, he is an expert in various styles of music and always accompanies its evolution on various levels.
Remixed CDs:
9 mixed compilations that distinguish themselves in 3 volumes of the Alcantara Mar and the Leite House both edited by Emi-Valentim de Carvalho; a compilation that was recorded along with his brother Paulo Leite therefore its name, LeiteNightSessions. The last mixed CD was recorded in 2004 after the grand Olá party that took place in the same year, Olá Love2Dancein the sky.

Various editions for Kaos Records, Tribal America, Twisted Records, 1st Volume Progressive Attack and for the Frankfurt 23 editor (both German), UMM (Italy), Alternative Music, Vidisco, Valentim de Carvalho, Universal, 2 Dance, SomLivre, etc.
Original Themes:
With a maxi-single(12) format edits various themes using diverse names DarkMountaiGroup,L.L. Project, Crystal Symphony, Delicado and LM Connection. He got 2 hits on national level with the Khine3 theme with co-producer Rui da Silva and more recently The Sound of Fashion and Light up(my cigarette) with co-producer Alex S. This last works with Alex S. was edited by EMI for France, Italy, Australia, Grece and Poland.
The 2nd single just like Delicado with Kika Santosvoice Light Up(my cigarette), was very much appreciated by one of the best DJs of the world Roger Sanchez. This theme was licenced for the French editor, HouseNotHome records. He also recorded with
DJ Zé Miguel, a maxi-single(12)called LM Connection Jungle Urbano for the Dance independent Portuguese Editor, the Magna Recordings.
During the year 2003, he was envited to record the generic theme for the Olá campaign with the Delicado project which for unknown reasons, did not take place. During the month of January of 2004, he recorded once more as Delicado his 4th theme called Go Inside. The same theme was edited in 2005 by the North American Undo Rec., a sub-label of Gossip Rec.
With the trip he made to WMC (Miami) in 2004, he had the opportunity to share with a few DJs/Producers some novelties he produced. Some of these works were then edited by the Italian label, the Voice of the Underground (VOTU) with two different maxis. L.L. Project Fire (dance) as well as Alex S and Luis Leite Dont swallow ep. The year 2006 is starting well so far, in what concerns production along with his colegue, the DJ/Producer Alex S. They are creating another project besides Delicado and they are DarkMountainGroup for Alternative Sounds. The first single Lose Control was edited in March 2006 in the known label of the English
Musician/DJ/Producer Ben Watt, the Buzzin Fly. It was already the theme of the week on the prestigious British music website, BBC. The theme awakened the most fantastic and unexpected reactions. From the DeepHeads to the Dark Heads, he has been complemented by
Pete Tong, King Britt, Danny Howells, Ashley Beedle, Charles Webster, Marques Wyatt, Roger Sanchez, Pete Heller, Nic Fanciulli, Justin Martin, amongst many others. Lose Control had first place on the British DJ Magazines Hype Chart.
In the American Eddie Amadors editor, the Mochico Primo will be edited one of his remixes such as Crystal Symphony. The remix was made for the Dune theme, from The Vintage a Portuguese DJ/Producer residing in Switzerland.
The new remixes of the Khyne3 theme in which
Luis Leite signs as L.L. Project, were finally edited in the beginning of 2006 as vinyl by Portugal Kaos Records. The remixes were made by a Columbian DJ named Spot, Mr Tribe and RedKone.
Luis Leite,was recently invited to play with his DarkMountainGroup a dj/live set at Rock in Rio Lisboa Festival 2006 (The Electronic Tent).
