IDJLEX just in this Twentieh year is the newly appointed New York Regional Manager of the International Bumsquad Djz coalition. IDJLEX recently became a resident DJ on Mix1620 Radio by blessing the airwaves daily with the “The Midday Stretch” from 12PM to 3PM EST Monday through Friday.



IDJLEX emerged from the streets of Queens NY 20 years ago historic for producing great musicians and disc jockeys. IDJLEX was born to Greek American parents a heritage rich in music coupled by growing up in one of the most diverse cities in the world: New York City breed a truly skilled disc jockey: IDJLEX formally known as DJ Lex The Silent Killah.



In 1990 at the age of fourteen IDJLEX bought his first set of turntables and a mixer. In high school IDJLEX got his first taste of the life of the club jock by rocking neighborhood jams or house parties till the wee hours of the morning. IDJLEX during this time was often the only source through which peers could hear the hottest new Hip-Hop and R&B flavors. IDJLEX’s undeniable skills as a turntablist solidified his popularity laying down the foundation for a career which twenty years later shows no sign of slowing down.

IDJLEX’s professional career started in the mid-90s, while a student at SUNY-Plattsburgh where he earned a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis on Broadcasting and Recording. With Lex holding down two specialty show slots, The Silent Killah was born, captivating audiences with a combination of charismatic presence as an on-air personality and his flawless technique on the 1s & 2s. Always seeking to push himself as he developed his career, Lex also played a role behind the boards at his college stations, earning his FCC license as an engineer in 1995. IDJLEX also was on Sirius, Kbol in Iowa and Swurv Radio Las Vegas. Post college IDJLEX has continued to build quite an impressive resume. Coupling his love for Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae with an appreciation for the eclectic sounds to which he was exposed as a kid IDJLEX has kept crowds of partygoers motivated on dance floors from New York to Montreal to the exclusive Pocono Mountains and as far as Greece. Residencies and guest appearances at some of the hottest venues in New York City have been Cheetah, Limelight, The Tunnel and Groove Jet during the height of there popularity. IDJLEX has moved the crowd in notorious venues such as: 40 40 Club NYC, Chelsea Hotel Atlantic City, Zoko Lounge Sacramento. IDJLEX experience as a show DJ is equally as impressive having opened for major artists such as: KRS-1, Beatnuts, Method Man, Spragga Benz and Nas, to name a few.

IDJLEX set his sights on dominating the mixtape industry. IDJLEX is internationally known for his R&B in the 90s volume series that is still in popular demand by consumers today. IDJLEX has consistently dropped one to two mixtapes a month that are distributed through hundreds of independent retail locations throughout the United States, Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom. IDJLEX international appeal is largely accredited to the fact that he did not allow New York's flavor to limit his mixtape catalogue, thus becoming one of the most diverse mixtape DJs in the game, catering to several different genres in various markets. IDJLEX’s exclusive blends and instrumentals masterfully combine Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae, from old-school to new - have kept IDJLEX’s mixtapes in high demand. The talent and creativity of IDJLEX have gained the attention of numerous independent artists for hosting. IDJLEX’s Mixtapes have drawn the press's attention to the DJ once known as the “Silent Killah”. Supported by magazines and websites such as Ozone, Grindmode, Rapsolution, Swagga Magazine, Inbox Magazine HipHopNews.de and Flavor Magazine in Germany, constantly praising the quality and style of his many releases, along with countless others which staunchly support the mixtape movement. In 2003, IDJLEX position in the movement was officially solidified, when he was nominated for the coveted Justo's Mixtape Award as well as Hip Hop DJ of the Year. IDJLEX has also appeared on Mixtape Mondays. IDJLEX ‘s smooth style, effortless ability to please crowds and audiences, and his high-profile affiliations to spread his reach across the country and the globe. IDJLEX aspires to use his experience and overall determination to transition from a tastemaker to a music creator - aiming to place himself among the ranks of top producers like Dr. Dre, Timbaland, the Neptunes, and DJ Premier; and eventually owning and operating his own label.
