Back track to the 1990s when dark and steamy house parties were blazing ferociously like the heat waves that flame the Sahara Desert in Africa. DJ Kurupt was pounding the walls with heart wrenching beats that banged. Back track to those same house parties, it was then that DJ Kurupt realized just how creative he was behind wax. During that era, DJ Kurupt knew his future fate. He would become a reputable DJ and a premiere producer.



Moving into the millennium, DJ Kurupt’s street-savvy business sense and artistic blend led him to the process of creating high demand mixtapes layered with perfection. "Not too many DJs are creative anymore. I feel you should be able to make someone say 'Damn how the f*** did he do that?' and 'Have you heard the new DJ Kurupt joint yet?'" With due respect, The Master Jedi's creative talents may have gotten him through the entrance of the game, but it was the buzz that took DJ Kurupt to higher heights.



Just about every major artist to date has hosted or dropped an exclusive feature on DJ Kurupt’s Mixtapes: G-Unit’s 50 Cent, Dipset's Juelz Sanatna, The L.O.X: Jadakiss, Styles P, & Sheek Louch, Ne-yo, T-pain, Pharrell, Redman, Mobb Deep, femme fatale Foxy Brown, as well as the reggae-dons Beenie Man and Red Rat have a presence.



Radio work has also absorbed DJ Kurupt’s hustle for success and street credibility. In conjunction with his A-list mixtape production credits, he hosted his own live Streetcorner Radio mix-show which he presently brands throughout the music industry on www.pncradio.com (Internet Radio) Additional radio work includes Hartford, Connecticut’s Hot 93.7 (WZMX). The game has also seen DJ Kurupt in action behind the turntables when he appeared on BET's Rap City numerous times aligned with former host Big Tigger & Most recent host Mad Linx,. In 2003, he was handpicked by Def Jam Records to produce the CD Sampler to launch their newest artist Joe Budden, and again in 2004 to launch Today's R&B star Ne-yo.



Clearly DJ Kurupt posts comfortably at top of the mixtape mountain. His hunger married to his creative outlook and dedication to the DJ sport has enabled him to distribute his mixtape promotional CDs internationally over Europe (London), Asia (Japan), and the Caribbean. “Honestly, I’ve been blessed to have some of the strongest artists in the game bless my tapes, everyone from Alicia Keys, 50 Cent and Tony Yayo from G Unit, Akon, B.G. former Cash Money, as well as upcoming artists on the scene.”
