Within the 8 years of his career in the music industry, DJ Kitsune has turned from a music lover to one the most influential djs in the german urban music scene.

After being named the new dj and co-host of the Frankfurt market’s biggest rap-mixshow “Dope Beats” on hrXXL radio in 1999, he began producing his first mixtape trilogy “Forces of Nature” that helped spreading his name on a nationwide level. After the radio hrXXL folded in december of 2003, he moved to be the resident of the “Clubnight” on youfm untill 2006, a mixshow format on national tv and the oldest and most historic mixshow in Europe with viewers and listeners from all over the continent.

His affiliation to local rapper Jonesmann, that he worked with for his label Starting Lineup Records, helped making DJ Kitsune the official live dj of Universal Music recording artist Azad, one of the top 5 rap artists on the german market, a position he held from 2003 to 2006 while releasing top-selling and award-winning mixtapes like “Victory ” and “Victory 2? or “Macht, Kaese, Flows, Cash” for Jonesmann, the latter being hailed as the best and most creative mixtape for one artist ever made. Within 12 months DJ Kitsune was hired to do live shows with most of the biggest german rap artists, making him one of the most requested djs of the country.

2006 turned put to be one of the most successful years for DJ Kitsune, as he was named the first german dj to join DJ Whoo Kid’s (50 Cent / G Unit) Shadyville DJ coalition. Around the same time his mixtape with german rap star Curse hit the billboars charts in Germany and Switzerland and his own label released highly acclaimed mixtape-albums with Rasul, benefitting from europewide distribution through the SonyBMG powerhouse. DJ Kitsune also played club shows all over Europe in top-level venues like the “Kaufleuten” in Zurich, the “Splash!” Festival in Germany, the “50 Grad” in Mainz, the “Unity” in Frankfurt, “Alte Meierei” in Vienna and several spots and events in New York City and Tel Aviv.

Within a time span of only 3 months DJ Kitsune did shows for Eminem’s satellite radio station “Shade45? and several other BDS monitored stations in markets like Cincinnatti or the Bay Area, released his newest mixtape “Victory 3?, was nominated for the award of the “Best International Mixtape DJ” at Justo’s 2006 Mixtape Awards, began to write for “Juice” magazine, and did a brief club tour through Germany with SonyBMG recording artists Curse.

All added up, DJ Kitsune is a 7-time “mixtape of the month” award winner (”Juice” magazine), CEO and founder of his own label and management company, and one of the most influential mixtape and club djs in Germany.
