David Jewell

Hi folks and a big thanks to all who have stopped by and a million thanks to all who have become friends and played my songs.
David Jewell was born and grew up in a samll town of Thayer, Mo., right on the Mo. and Ark. state line.
after highr svhool i served 6 years in the Army, 2 active and 4 years in the reserve. i managed restuarnts for 18 years (to many hours), i went to work for the Libby corp. who build generators for the goverment, the union took us out on strike.
i got a job driving a truck for a handicap workshop (Southeast Enterprises) i also took care of all their equipment, was chairman of the fire and safty committie, we had around 180 employees and 20 staff members, i also had a little shop in the warehouse where i made the enployees over 1,500 adative devices, to enable them to perform jobs they could not do without them or to inprove thier production and quality, i figured i would be there around 2 monthe tops on strike from the Libby corp., but i liked it so well i retired from there 23 1/2 years later.
i started to write songs because it seemed like country music had lost it's country way and sound somewhere along the way , i like a lot of different kinds of music but none touches the soul like trasditional country, guess you could say i like traditional country better than country pop.
today i have a catalogue of 200 plus songs i have written and 21 record cuts by other artists.
i guess my dream would be for one of my influences to record some of my songs, i record a lot of my qwn demoes my self as i play several instruments, it helps keep the cost down.
