Brestfed with Belgian EBM and Industrial Music along with the french alternative rock movement, Eric aka g00ns was introduced to the electronic dance music movement in 1989 going to Belgian superclub "Boccacio". His meeting with French superstar DJ Laurent Garnier who had his first residency at the infamous "l'Anfer" club in Dijon finished his conversion.

Going regularly to the Wake Up parties hosted at the Rex club in PAris as well as belgian mytical places like the Cherry Moon, Café d'Anvers, Globe, he also started to extend his muiscal culture to funky stuff to which he was not attracted before. At the end of 1992, a 1 year trip to London introduced him to the UK undergound scene, going to places like the Drum Club, Megadog parties, Whirlygig and also his first squatt parties.

Going back to France to start a management degree in Marseille, he met the lcal scene actors with Jack de Marseille, Olive, Virtualian, David Caretta. Meanwhile his friend Tonio was becoming one of the major french DJs and weekends were spent at parties thrown by organisations like Dragonball, Spiritual Combat, Prophets, Les Sales Gosses, Borealis and the seminal french free scene with Furious and Nomads sound systems He met inspirating people like Rykkk's, Kriss, J Rob, DJ Tal, Miloch, Ralph, Acid Kirk, Lunatic Asylum, Heyoka. Organising local student union's parties he started to spin more or less sucessfully techno there and bought his 1st pair of decks.

Having (curiously) chosen an international degree, Eric went back to London having met just before in Marseille two very nice blockes named Chris and Julian who happend to be two thirds of the Liberators. Back in London, he was more and more attracted by the underground scene and found a job at Truelove Label Collective for his students placement. Meeting more and more people (Geezer, D.A.V.E. the drummer, Mr Oz, John Truelove, Jon the Dentist.) and tired to play records in front of his student's room walls, he started to go behind rigs and ask for slots and started to be remarked by playing radical techno sets while most others were into full on acid techno. Some people apreciated this change, other did not but anyway, many London warehouses and squatts throbbed to the pounding beats he played with Malfaiteurs, Sonic, Twisted, Restless Natives. He also became resident at the original internet radio GAIALIVE with a weekly show where he played along with guests like DJ Tal, DAVE the drummer, Geezer and other people from the London scene.

Coming back to France to "calm down", he soon realised that he was missing the energy developped by the dancing crowds. Unfortunately, the French governement adopted a new law against illegal parties which made them more and more difficult to organise. He played with DKLé, PH4, and many other people he met in the underground circuit and finally joined the TTC krew which definitely had the same party ethics.

Recently releasing his first tracks on Acid Revolt Unit along with Woxo, Floxytek and Woody Mc Bride, and on the TTC Family label. He plays regularly in France and abroad at legal and illegal events. The most important still being having a good party with nice people. Is style is now evolving to a wider spectrum of sounds including funky breakbeats and glitchy electro in his sets along with more "in your face" techno tunes.

Have a try.
