I was born and raised in NYC en EL Barrio and da boogie down BRONX, started mixing music at 16 yrs, old back in 1978 with my first Panasonic Technic equipment complete with Technic turntables which later became the turntables of choice in the industry, got my first gig DJing in a small spot by Kennedy Airport Kasbah Club, joined IDRC Record Pool in 1979 and within a short period of time became member of the Feedback Committee in the record pool, reporting weekly to 98.7 kiss fm, WBLS, and 92 KTU what records were hot at the clubs so that radio stations can place those records in regular rotation, also was a guest DJ for the 98.7 Kiss FM Summer Clean Up Concerts and the Concert Series for 98.7 Kiss fm and the NYC Board Of Education. Acquired a spot with WBLS from 2am - 4am and at times from 4am - 6am on Fridays and Saturday early mornings. My supervisor there was AL Roberts at WBLS who was in charge of promotions. Moved to Puerto Rico and played there at the Acropolis Arena in my hometown in Manati, Puerto Rico for a couple of gigs. I met legendary DJ Danny Rodriguez who was resident DJ at the top club in Puerto Rico, San Juan San Juan Disco, return to NYC and continued at IDRC. Became resident DJ at Wings Night Club in Queens, NY in the Traveler's Hotel and played at Skate Key in the Bronx Moved on to DJ at USA Roller Rink in Fort Hamilton Pkway, Bklyn, NY. Finally got a dream gig at Night Gallery, NYC alongside long time friend DJ Louie "Lou" Gorbea and was there until it closed. Was away from music for a while DJ'ed at local parties around my way in New Jersey when time allowed and in 1998 founded Vaultraiderz Productions/Promotions Currently I host 1 weekly internet radio mix shows: "DJFM BABYPOWDER SESSIONS" on www.cyberjamz.com, where I feature and spin along side the best djs & producers in the world like legendary Louie Lou Gorbea, Luie Rivera(Loowee R), Rene Hewitt, Tee Mallory, Duce Martinez, Abicah Soul, Ray Vasquez, Lefty "Lem" Hernandez, Jose "the animal" Diaz, Raf n Soul from Italy "NY Time Exclusive Mix Show", legendary DJ DANNY RODRIGUEZ, Tony Touch, and many, many more not listed hereDJFM CONTINUES TO SPREAD THE LOVE OF MUSIC & DANCE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD BABYPOWDER STYLE!!!.LOVE IS THE MESSAGE & THE MESSAGE IS IN THE MUSIC!
