DJ EKO

In a short and spectacular career, DJ Eko has established himself as one
of Australia?s premier Hip-Hop DJs; boasting a resume brimming with
concert, festival, television and radio appearances, along with major
label production credits, a recording contract, and national corporate
endorsement deals.



Nurturing his skills on Australia's fierce DJ battle circuit, Eko
developed an incomparable technical finesse while competing against the
country's leading turntablists. The young Sydney-sider would go on to
conquer the scene and capture prestigious titles including the DMC and ITF
Championship crowns - pinnacles of local competition.



A musician in the truest sense of the word, DJ Eko approaches the
turntables as any musician would their more traditional instruments, using
them to build emotion and atmosphere amongst his audience in dazzling
displays of self-expression. Recognising his honest and innate aptitude
for his craft, both Rane and Serato Scratch Live have secured
sponsorship/endorsement deals with Eko, appointing him a national
ambassador for their market-leading DJ products. Corporate interest in Eko
continues to develop, including relationships with alcoholic beverage giant
Jim Beam [_Jim Beam Scratch DJ Project_] and national Hip-Hop publication
Rhyme & Reason Magazine.



Rocking sold-out stadiums and concert halls across Australia, DJ Eko has
shared the stage with Hip-Hop?s elite, from Nelly to Cypress Hill, Naughty
By Nature to The Beatnuts, Q-Bert, DJ Craze, Pharcyde and DJ A-Trak [Kanye
West?s DJ], amongst a host of others. His exciting performances have been
documented on television via MTV and Channel V, with his unique brand of
turntable wizardry most recently attracting the interest of radio
programmers. Eko can be heard weekly on Australia's only commercial urban
format station, The Edge 96.One, as an exclusive 'Edge Mixmaster' - where
his mixing prowess is broadcast to a market of over 1 million people.



Away from the turntables Eko is carving out a music production career that
has already seen him collaborate with prominent international Hip-Hop
talent. Crafting soundscapes for the likes of Proof [R.I.P.] of Eminem's
group D-12 and Rakkaa of Dialated Peoples, his list of production credits
extend across titles released by major record labels including Sony BMG
and Warner Music.



Eko juggles his germinating production career with a hectic performance
schedule - helming numerous residencies in Sydney's favoured clubs and
playing guest sets interstate and internationally. And while the two-time
'Best DJ' nominee [Australia & New Zealand Urban Music Awards] is
undoubtedly accomplished beyond his years, the opportunities, interest and
