DJ DNA

Justin Adams better known as DJ DNA, has built his name and reputation as an innovator with his fiery performances as a an international DJ and his creative approach as a music producer.



At the early age of 11, DJ DNA began bonding with his love of music by collecting records and tirelessly practicing to become a professional DJ. Growing up in Northern California he was constantly influenced by the DJ culture and other notable DJ's like Qbert, MixMasterMike, and DJ Shadow. By age 15 he had developed a passion for creating and producing songs while skipping school to work in local Sacramento studios. This lead DNA to pursue a production career along with his performance aspect of DJing.



In his early adult years, DNA played to crowds from San Francisco to Greece and has shared the stage with many other notable DJ's and artists including Mos Def, DJ Jazzy Jeff, MixMasterMike, De La Soul, KRS-ONE, Digable Planets, DJ Quest, MF Doom, Pigeon John and many others.



In 2004 DJ DNA released his debut full length album "Impressionism" to rave reviews. URB Magazine gave the album 4 out of 5 stars in its October 2004 issue and Elemental Magazine called it the years most unexpected enjoyable instrumental album. After touring to support the very personal and artistic album DJ DNA felt lead to expand his production to a greater audience by creating a The Benjamin's Music Group with partner and vocalist Kenny Steeo.



"The Benjamin's Music Group was built to take great music of different genres and make them available for everyone to enjoy." DJ DNA oversees production and artist development for the production company and frequently collaborates with veteran producer Lazyboi (Universal, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Slim of 112, Angie Stone).



With a wide range of comparisons to DJ's AM, Tiesto, Ztrip, Jazzy Jeff and Mark Farina, DJ DNA is considered by most to be a 5 star international DJ.
