D.J., Producer, Songwritter, Artist, D.L.SWIFT was born in NewYork. SWIFT started at a very young age. He started becoming very popular and building a dedicated following all through out his elementary school days. Back in the days of street crews and battling with d.j.s and m.c.s who couldn't get on the set with out street credit, D.L.SWIFT was known as PERFECTIONs secret weapon. Perfection, started by Lenny Tyre and Mark Daniels, was Long Islands leading sound sorce handed down to SWIFTs brother, known as Dr.Cut Boywonder. Technically SWIFT was not old enough to get in most places but, with an aggressive, loyal staff of crew members, they made sure to rush the back door to get their secret weapon to the stage to rock the 1 & 2s. Then It Was On ! THE CROWD !! I GOT'UM !!
D.J.D.L.SWIFT once known as Kid Lan or one of Long Islands D.J.Masterminds along side good friend TracyTrace of the Mechanics, blessed the mixtape scene before there was one. D.L.SWIFT rocked mixtapes since the pause button mixing days back in the 80s.
From the days of when life was not an Open Mic Show. You had to be real good. If you were wack, You would be crushed; "Like alot of that Bullshit should be crushed out there right now". From L.I. entering NewYork, SWIFT quickly made a reputation for himself as the superior D.J. / Crowd Motivator, holding down major Long Island events, then NewYork City events, the east coast, to now World Wide !!!
For over 2 decades now, you may have seen D.J.D.L.SWIFT blowen up the spot with legends like Biz Markie & Chubb Rock; both close associates. The SWIFTNESS has also Kicked Down the Doors with New Yorks New Power 1051 with their Burst into the HipHop world with Flip The Switch, Power Partys.
