DJ Boogie

My name is DJ Boogie; I am the CEO of Southside Clique Inc. I have been in the business for about 20 years with music production, performances, and DJing for schools, weddings and various clubs. I have shows and productions for all ages, teen shows, 18 and up shows as well as 21 and up shows.



I'm always taking Ghetto House to another level. I started DJing in the spring of 1987 with Farley, Hula, Maurice Josh, Scratch, and Frankie Knuckles in Chicago. A couple years of djing went by and I decided to drop some tapes off to a Minnesota record shop called "Classic Records". Many call that single tape one of the first mixed house tapes to hit Minnesota - in a way it was the "seed" for the genre in that region. In 1995, on a return trip to Minnesota, I came to the realization that if anyone was to introduce that scene to the ghetto house sound, that it was going to have to be me. After releasing many successful mix CDs, I landed a weekly booty house mix show on KMOJ radio station from 1995 to 2002. Soon after that I met dj slugo who's responsible for me dropping my first 12in release entitled. Its My Turn on Chicago’s Dance Mania Records and has been pumping out records ever since. My first release on Databass Records entitled Ecstasy has received massive mix show airplay on 4 major radio stations in Detroit. I'm now touring all over the states, djing in places like Minneapolis, Texas, Nevada, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Montreal, Canada. Currently I'm bringing to DVD and VHS Freak Nik like you've never seen before. Blending music production with video and movie production.



I have DJ’d at many schools across the twin cities, Middle Schools as well as High Schools.



My club performances include Quest – Minneapolis, Club VIP – Minneapolis, Fort Snelling Club – St. Paul, Club 323 – Minneapolis, Profile Music Center – St. Paul, and Banana Joe’s – Minneapolis just to name a few.



I have also put on my own productions and shows over the years which include, Freak Out 2000, Sabanthani Summer fest, School Days, Freak Nik Part 1,2 and 3, and Pajama Jams, just to name a few.



I am versatile, ambitious, and always trying to get an edge on something new. I like a challenge and love bringing a new type of energy to people with my music and productions.
