What is metal?



It is more than a simple definition could do justice. It is more than a current trend. Metal is passion. It is empowerment. It is absolute release. Metal is a source of inspiration and expression. It is a place of solace. It is a middle finger to the face of society. For the five members of DIVIDIAN, metal is the very lifesblood of existance.



Formed in the winter of 2003 by Wayne Bickhart (lead guitar), Greg Dorman (vox), and Brady Wright (bass), DIVIDIAN set out to push the boundaries of metal while still paying tribute to the classic sounds of the genres forefathers.



Drawing influence from the Gothenburg metal scene, and the classic bands of 80's thrash, DIVIDIAN formed a sound that combines an undeniable sense of melody, technicality and aggression, with the passion and urgency of hardcore. Their affinity for strong songwriting, soaring guitar harmonies, and relentless hooks keeps DIVIDIAN one step ahead in an oversaturated scene of endless soundalikes.
