WHO IS DIVA LA DISCO?

Diva la Disco is an outstanding house music act with shows and appearances in more than 20 countries all around Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The unique combination of both live singing as well as the hot beats and mixing of Dj Alex Botar leaves the clubbers and promoters asking for more. Thus Diva La Disco created a reputation as an exciting, professional and memorable live act that are requested over and over again.

Now the time has come to "push it to the top" and take Diva La Disco to the next level. Dj Alex Botar and the amazing vocalist Mizmoni set the sky as the limit! The new fusion of fascinating musical elements into the DLD style, is fueled by the cooperative work between the mulititalented producer, Alex Botar and the American singer/songwriter Monica Schmidt, known to the house world as "Mizmoni". Diva La Disco is about to set the house world on fire!

WHO IS MIZMONI?

Mizmoni, the small town girl, began to show her artistic abilities early in life.

Her background in the gospel tradition was tempered by extensive training in America as well as Europe in the classical repertoire. Monica Schmidt appeared in such prominent theatrical venues as: Bregenzer Festspiele, Theater des Westens, Den Norsk Opera and the Berliner Philharmonic.

Mizmonis entry into the house genre began with such songs as "Keep On Swingin" (Clubworxx vs the Monsterz) and "Higher Love" (Excited / Peppermint Jam). Mizmoni held chart position with the likes of:Kelis, Pink, Outkast, Bob Sinclar, Moguai, Tom Novyand Simply Red).

Her voice can be heard on recordings alongside:the Sugababes, Moloko, Barbara Tucker, Ultra Naté, Scooter,Junior Jack, Stonebridge and Sophie Ellis-Baxter. Mizmonis charismatic stage performance was shared withmusic greats such as: Afrika Bambaataa, Afrika Islam, Tyree Cooper, Erik Clark and Westbam.



WHO IS ALEX BOTAR?

"Home is where House Music is." this mantra says everything about Alex Botar who had started djing at the tender age of 16. His individual taste and great professionalism let him climb up the dj-scale quickly.

To compliment his musical ambitions he was also writing as a freelance music editor for various music related magazines like FrontPage, Musroom, Highlights, Hot Vision and Subway.

Alex Botar is not only a DJ, he is as well a talented producer which can be proved with more than 30 releases and remixes. His production skills are demanded by such prestigious labels like: Tommy Boy, KULT Records, DEL Productions, Loopfreaks, Oryx and Deepah Recordings. Alex co-produced songs with Alec Sun Drae, Lukas Greenberg and Micky Friedmann.
