DISSIPATE

Dissipate began as a vision in 1998, and later came together during the summer of 2005. They have since recorded and released 3 albums, as well as several rounds of merchandise. Their merchandise ranges from stickers, guitar picks, and wrist bands to posters, t-shirts, and sweatshirts. Although there have been a number of member changes since, this 5 piece is satisfied with their current lineup. Each and every member comes from a different musical background. This has helped to add to their diversity, with each member's inspiration coming from a different source; gaining insight from other genres, which are not metal oriented. All members are fully dedicated to the band and play an important role in writing their music. They are focused on challenging themselves and their audiences, as well as pushing the limits of their music. Without challenging the standards of music and culture, nothing would ever progress.
Dissipate has played hundreds of shows, and continues to play at local venues. Some of the most memorable bands they've shared to stage with include All Shall Perish, Hostility, 3 Inches of Blood, Arsis, The Faceless, Murder in the First, and Antagony. Their goals are to be the most physical and intense live band on every bill, push their record as far as possible and extensively tour. While many bands intend to entertain audiences, Dissipate would rather challenge and intimidate them.
Dissipate brings style, as well as an up to date image of metal, while continuing to focus on a modern approach to metal music. They choose to keep the music technical, while still keeping a groove and remaining comprehendible, whereas so many current acts are rehashing trends that predate their own existence. Dissipate is looking forward, pushing themselves and the boundaries of heavy music as we know it. Drawing influence from technical bands like Ion Dissonance and heavier, groove-oriented death metalers Dying Fetus and Skinless, Dissipate intensifies their musicality with a brutal, metal core edge, akin to Oblige and Hatebreed. The end result is a crushing attack of down-tuned raw power.
