OK, here's the story so far.
Disobey was founded in the autumn of 2001, and originally consisted of Stefan/drums, Paty/bass, Koso/vocals and Grecore/guitar & vocals. We played our first show in april 2003 and continued to play live more or less regular since then.
A demo-cd was recorded in summer 2004 (which is sold out by now), at that time we had to find a replacement for Paty, because she got pregnant (and is now the proud mother of a sweet girl). Roland replaced her on the four-strings in august 2004.
The song "One By One" was released on a compilation called "In Between" via Top 5 Records in 2005. 2006 brought several releases, three songs on the Horror Business Sampler "This Is Not Your Soundtrack Violence", two songs on a compilation produced by Lazy Monkeys from Castrop-Rauxel and of course our first full studio album "Wrong Turns Don't Count" in september.
A short time after the record release, we had to to let go Roland, so Alex P. took the job in january 2007. We contributed songs to two more compilations ("Only The Diehard Remain" by Horror Business Records & "World Up My Ass" from Spastic Fantastic Records) that year.
2008 began with lots of shows and after a few months we finally hit Iustitia Studios in Castrop-Rauxel to record our second album. "Got The Fever" came out in october 08 on Major Threat Distributions and Good Boys Records and the reactions by audience and online fanzines were very positive (well, mostly.haha).
Due to massive time problems, Alex P. decided to leave the band in december 2008, but we found a more than equivalent replacement: Mighty Bo, known for his outrageous performance with Kromacherkellerkinder and Killing Chord, was shredding the bass and the stages for us for one year. At that time, we got completely blast away 'cause we got the chance to open a show for the legendary Biohazard from N.Y.C. Perhaps some of you remember these guys – bandanas, "life-on-the-streets"-lyrics and tattooed bodies, motherfucker!
With the new year 2010, we got a new bassplayer again. His name is Fox (for reasons I don't know yet.) and he seems to fit perfectly – not only because we all share his sick humor.
In december 2010 we gathered to record our third one – and this time it's vinyl time, baby! The record will be called "Internal Affairs" and will blast your ears with eight new tracks. It will be released on Horrror Business Records in June 2011.So watch out.
