Football coaches have often advocated the K.I.S.S. rule to their players: Keep It Simple, Stupid. And though none of the members of Disaster March grew up gracing the gridiron, they have adopted this policy when composing their songs. After years of honing their craft that has endured several name changes, a few breakups, a few member changes, and complete overhauls of the songbook on occasion, the group has developed their best work yet. The Dire Days EP, produced by Kristian Riley (Maritime, Paris Texas) at the legendary Smart Studios in Madison, WI, is catchy enough to get stuck in your head for days, but with enough rock to make you roll down the windows and turn the volume up. Each track will have you singing along after one listen, and when consumed alltogether faintly tell the story of relationship. That's where the K.I.S.S. rule comes into effect: the simple emotions that come with relationships, the melody lines that make it effortless to get ingrained in your brain, the instrumentation that doesn't seek to overwhelm.all of these combine together to create an easily enjoyable record. Along with the EP, the band packs a stellar punch in their live performance that will not disappoint. The gentlemen of Disaster March could be considered armed and dangerous, and the band is ready to take the ears of Milwaukee and the Midwest hostage with their infectious brand of pop-rock.
