DIRTY GASH

The SMTX project arised in the western outskirts of Turin, from the ashes of bands as Speed Demon and Dirty Gash, which Roy Mangino and Dave Nudo used to play in since 2006. For several reasons in 2008 Roy and Dave found themselves alone, so they decided to look for a bass player and stay as a trio, with Roy as a vocalist.

Then Vinnie arrived to complete the line-up, and still called Dirty Gash at the time, they immediately recorded their first single Nitro Jesus for the compilation Rock4Life, for Quickstar Prod., released on iTunes.

After a year spent rehearsing and composing, they recorded their Promo EP "Interceptor", with 4 tracks, which can be listened to on their MySpace page from mid-January 2010.

Their sound is a good mix in a halfway between Stoner, Grunge with a massive dose of Hard Rock, and melodies inspired by Alice Cooper, Ozzy and Metallica.

Il progetto Smtx nasce nelle periferie ovest di Torino, dalle ceneri di Speed Demon e Dirty Gash, in cui militavano dal 2006 Roy Mangino e Dave Nudo.

Per vari motivi nel 2008 Dave e Roy si ritrovarono da soli e decisero di cercare un bassista e completare la formazione rimanendo un trio, con Roy alla voce.

A completare la formazione arrivò Vinnie, e con ancora il nome Dirty Gash venne subito registrato il singolo NitroJesus per la compilation Rock 4 Life della Quickstar Prod. distribuita su piattaforma digitale iTunes.

Dopo un anno di prove e composizione, viene registrato il Promo Ep "Interceptor", contenente 4 Brani, disponibile all'ascolto su myspace da metà Gennaio 2010.

Il sound è un buon mix tra Stoner , Grunge con una massiccia dose di Hard Rock e melodie secondo la scuola di Alice Cooper, Ozzy e Metallica.
