Since founding his multimedia and production company Astor Place Music, the Grammy award-winning producer has collaborated with a never-ending list of premiere, platinum recording artists including Kanye West, John Legend, Aretha Franklin, Nas, Common, and Britney Spears. In addition, Devo has been the featured DJ at numerous VIP events around the world including New York City, Los Angeles, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Nairobi, Istanbul, and Johannesburg.
What’s up next for this superstar producer? Devo is slated this year to work on Kanye West’s new album “808’s and Heartbreak,” John Legend’s new album “Evolver,” as well as with popular new artist Estelle (from the hit “American Boy” with Kanye West).
In 2008, Devo Springsteen is teaming up with several campaigns to promote awareness of worthy causes. Devo is a staunch advocate of Senator Barack Obama, and Devo’s latest single with John Legend, “If You’re Out There,” serves as the Obama campaign’s theme song. Devo will also be working as the musical director of an upcoming benefit for Grassroots Soccer, a non-profit organization created to provide African youth with the knowledge, life skills, and support to live HIV-free.
