In a recent article on emerging pop artist Destenee titled The Fate Of Music, Music Connection Magazine said it best about the 19 year old singer, songwriter, producer and all around musical powerhouse: Every now and then an artist shows up for the whole world to adore. At an age when most young women are singing along to anthems, not blazing cultural trails by creating them, the singer (who uses her real given name) is breaking ground on her music career with two explosive tracks from her upcoming debut album that are bound to inspire both her own generation and fans of all ages. The first track is titled "Turn It Up" her personal ode to DJ's around the world! The song will make its worldwide debut on the acclaimed TV show on Fox Networks "So You Think You Can Dance " this summer.
Having performed at NAMM, Kah Bang, SXSW, EDC, and Coachella, Destenee has earned endorsements with US Music Corp, Washburn and Parker Guitars, Randall, Shubb Capos, AERIAL7, as well as the high fashion clothing line Cowgirl Heaven. Her growing list of accolades includes winning nods at the Las Vegas Indie Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Vocalist. Adding to the anticipation leading up to her recording debut, which includes appearances on The Tonite show with Jay Leno promoting Grammy Winner Cee-lo Green "What Part of Forever" from the Twiglight Saga, Destenee has also built an energized fan base.
"The young prodigy has been mentored by legendary producers such as Sterling Davis (Robin Thicke, Victoria Beckham), Danny Sembello (Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle), Damien Schmitt (Jean Luc Ponty, Sixun), and Morris Hayes (Prince, Elton John, Lenny Kravitz) who have encouraged her to be a musician.

Destenee, a multi-cultural force of musical nature whose electronic influenced, pop dance/dub-step sounds reflect her upbringing. The singer's vibe is commercial and mainstream while reflecting a cool and enticing international coloring. In addition to writing and producing this track, Destenee played all the instruments.
"The song "OK is about the effect music has on her and the healing power of music." she states. Party People is her holidays anthem about celebrating the moment; as a nod to this philosophy, she calls her touring band 2Morrow. The powerful ballad "Taken Away" expresses the freedom to love and to be loved.
Wonderful surprises arrive with the melodic "Rock This World" which acoustics bring another side of the talented musician.
Almost as if her birth name was given to her as a calling, Destenee's life has been an ongoing creative and musical whirlwind from the time she taught herself piano at age four. She's performed across the country and most frequently in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. L.os Angeles has been an especially great proving ground. Destenee has earned raves for her performances at hotspots like the House of Blues, The Roxy, Key Club, Kress, Club Area, The Knitting Factory, Cinespace, Hollywood Palladium, and Staples Center.
