Denots was formed along the south fork of the Snake River in Southeast Idaho. Lead singer/guitarist Jerimiah Peterson fused the band into a creative monster that haunted Darin Christensen (drummer) and Waylen Andersen (bassist) into joining this melodious metal machine. Darin Joined the Band in 2002, and Waylen in 2005.
Over a period of 13 hard hitting years the band has had some very excellent performances, that include opening for Suicidal Tendencies, Prong, Hed-pe, Hinder, Rev Theory, Fivefoot Thick, Candelbox, Soil, Living Color, Mushroomhead, Adema, Clutch, CKY, Drowning Pool, Dope, Hemlock, Papa Roach, Disturbed, Stone Sour, Hell Yea, Airborne, Hailstorm, Avenge Sevenfold, Crimany and more! Two wins from Kbear's Battle of the Bands under their belt just adds more fuel for the fire that burns in air when they hit the stage. Denots produces and markets their own cds They produce their own clothing and merchandise as it is a business as well as a passion. In the first year they produced their album --We Can Make Nothing Happen To You-- The album contains thirteen tracks of dark dissonant metal lyrics that are angry and yet thought provoking, dealing with issues like self-challenge, social conformity, addiction, and various political ideas. In 2004 Denots released "Starz Mold Minds Eyez"--. This full-length 12 track CD features Drink This, Full Circle, 3/16 and Voices. In 2007, Denots released "Dissonance in D Backwards" with some remastered versions of songs like Keep and April 19th, along with new songs like Sibyline Cast and Crippled. Denots has just released their fourth album to date, titled --Illusions of a Fictional Reality--. Self promoted and managed, the group is getting stronger all the time. Since 2009, Denots has competed in and is a proud supporter of Project Independent. Denots music is now available on ITunes and CD baby.
Originality has always been their strong point with over 65 originals and frequent local play Denots has built a fan base that is longer than the Snake itself. Given the chance Denots will devour all the non-believers and perform in any given situation. Denots performed at the Alticity free style snow sled jumps in Jan. 2005. Their song "Iniquity" was featured in the world wide Alticity DVD that came out in 2005. The song "Keep" is on the official 2007 Jagermeister compilation CD and is featured in the 2008 movie "Inconvenience". So yes world, here is your chance to see Denots wreak havoc on the world again --You better guard your grill!
