Sleaze rock band DEMONS ALLEY came to chew bubblegum and kick ass.and they're all outta gum! They've run their traveling glam-punk-rock n' roll show all around the Northeast U.S., and fans have described them as "Guns N Roses meets the Ramones", as well as "Bowie singing for Mötley Crüe".
DEMONS ALLEY hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, even though they sound more like a New York band from the East Village. It makes sense; a few of their biggest influences are bands like Kiss and New York Dolls. The boys have attitude and swagger that recall vintage Stones and Aerosmith, while also giving the nod to 80's metal gods like Hanoi Rocks and L.A. Guns. Their sound is heavy with hooks and raw "too-much-eyeliner" riffs.
The band has just released their first full-length CD, entitled "Dead End Tricks" recorded at Side Two Studio in Boston, as well as consistently performing concerts throughout the region.
The guys in the band- lead singer/ guitarist "Pink", lead guitarist / singer "Dead Man" Dave Meyer, bassist/ singer Nico Youngblood, and drummer Matti "Mayhem" Johnson - come from the ruins of groups such as BioPop, Red Höt, Sticky Fingers, Temptress, Touch Me Hooker, and even the original Boston run of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". Original drummer Joe Gigolo exited the band in 2008, and went on to star in VH1 Classic's Rock n' Roll Fantasy Camp. Worcester drum legend Matti Mayhem joined up in 2009, and the Demons continued the rock party!
The first DEMONS ALLEY show was the 2006 Metal Sludge Boston 4th of July Extravaganza, opening for the Swedish band "Vains Of Jenna". The boys have since played many more gigs, opening for bands like Sponge, Dizzy Reed (GnR), Spread Eagle, Broken Teeth (ex-Dangerous Toys), and 80's hair-metal sensations L.A. Guns, Bang Tango and Pretty Boy Floyd. The band has also put together shows and tours on their own, partnering with other successful and motivated regional bands like The Erotics, The Serpenteens, and the Strip Club Devils (Featuring Ronnie Sweetheart, formerly of The Throbs). They were nominated for a 2008 Worcester Music Award, and appear on 272 records' "Glamnation Vol. 2" compilation CD.
DEMONS ALLEY plays rock n' roll like they don't care if they live or die, and it makes for an explosive and exciting live show that must be seen! Check out demonsalley.com for latest band details, and be sure to get your copy of "Dead End Tricks", available at CDBaby.com, iTunes, and of course at the merch table at Demons live shows. They're keeping busy touring, recording, and breaking hearts; get down or get outta the way!
