"The Hardagains are three young men who compose wry, humorous, observational ditties about masturbation, among other things, but not about girls. Why? I don't know. They take what they can get. They are from the outskirts of Missoula, in Bonner proper, hence they are skirting the fine line of sophistication, rurality and musicality. This, I believe, lends a certain essence of ambiguity but also of power and prestige or maybe a je ne sais quoi attribute to the snotty jerkoff chanteys they perform on stage. They are not Ironic, they are not Dance Party, they are REAL, like Geppetto's puppet. They have done this for awhile, since before they even performed together I believe, before they even knew themselves maybe. In short, The Hardagains harness the Bonner Pony of Essence when it knocks on the door of Missoula's bathroom. That is all."
