Biography



Deja was born and raised in Washington, DC. Acquiring a taste and style all her own before she was even presented to this world. Ever since she was a baby she was fed classical, gospel, R&B, rock and jazz. Born the first child of 4, Deja began to show her musical talent at an early age. Coming from a long line of singers and musicians, Deja perfected the ABC's of vocal and stage presence from in-depth training from her parents. Releasing her first demo at the age of sixteen, Deja began her career singing in the Church choir and later formed "One Voice", a gospel quartet, that participated in local talent shows and performances all over the DC area. She is a violinist, a teacher, and an all around talent. During her stint in the United States Navy, she had a local hit song, "Cold and Lonely Nights", and a rendition of Stevie Wonders classic tune "All is Fair In Love" rotating on local air waves. Deja loves the lord with all her heart which is why Deja is coming back to what she has known all her life, Gospel Music.
