Defenders of the Faith has paid tribute to Judas Priest since 1993. It all began after Dahl and Karlsson had formed Crystal Eyes and song after song by the Metal Gods found its way to the repertoire. Both realized quickly that this wasn't enough and started a tribute band dedicated to the best band in the world. In 2008 Defenders Of The Faith appeared in the final of the Battle of the bands competition at the mighty Sweden Rock Festival the day after Judas Priest was headlining.
