Earning his name for his seamless style of music programming, mixing and remixes, DJ SLICK is without a doubt one of Australia's hardest working DJs.
Beginning his career as a fresh faced 18-year old working at underage hip hop events, it wasn’t long before his smooth and unique style of mixing saw the young and passionate DJ and producer feature in a number of infamous Perth night spots, including Pallas Studio Lounge, Varga Lounge, $elebrity and his long running mid week nights at Base.
Mixing it up for the eager crowds every week on the ones and twos, SLICK’s work also saw him head into the production side of things, including producing R&B Bounce on 96fm and The Drop on Groove 101.7fm. His style of mixing and production also led to SLICK becoming an official Crack4DJs.net affiliate, which saw him focus on creating brand new remixes and productions alongside the Crooklyn Clan. Currently SLICK can be found on AV8 Records alongside Fatman Scoop, a feat in itself given the DJ hails from one of the world’s most isolated cities.
Currently, you can catch SLICK mastering his craft at his weekly residencies including Onyx as part of the Glamorous line-up and Metro City Concert Club mashing up his style of R&B and hip hop with a electro twist, for that added essence to the night.
With a belief that it doesn’t matter the size of the audience he plays to as long as the people are enjoying the music, has been the successful formulae to help his impressive resume of support shows including Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, T-Pain, The Game, LL Cool J, Kelly Clarkson, Sean Kingston, Lil’ Jon and The BME Click, Boyz II Men, DMX, The Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd Banks, Joe, K-Ci & JoJo and a whole heap more.
