dee3 (IRL: Don Voorhies) is – in the lack of better terms – a DK-based DJ.
An U.S. ex-pat, debuting behind the wheels of steel at the age of 14 during the tailgate of the disco-era in 1979, he continued on spinning on the mobile-scene and on-and-off in the club-scene in Jutland until 1986-87, when he started doing radio-work and spinning full-time as a club-DJ, until early 1991.
Later on, after gaining a Masters-degree in Information Science, at the start of this century he started working with and trying out a plethora of various computer-based DJ platforms that were then appearing on the market.
While trying out these various computer-based DJ platforms, he started compiling and mixing a mix-series called "Compiling a Network" and later on another mix-series called "dee3 | datamixes"; these two mix-series' 23 sets have combined seen more than 1.9 million downloads from listeners spread out over more than 170 countries.
Still content being on - and viewing things from – the sidelines of the scene, he occasionally and gladly mixes Techno-tinged sets together for various radio-shows and podcasts, and probably either will soon continue were he left off with the "Compiling a Network" and the "dee3 | datamixes", the odd, occasional track - or something else that will most likely be Techno-/DJ-related.
