Humanistisch Geestelijk Verzorgers. Je vindt ze bij Defensie op allerlei plekken.
Ze gaan mee op uitzending, mee op oefening, ze steunen, adviseren, begeleiden, begraven, herdenken, praten met groepen, geven les, houden bezinningsbijeenkomsten. Alles wat onze militairen, hun thuisfront en burgermedewerkers kan helpen bij een goed en zinvol leven.

Soms glijdt de ene dag vanzelfsprekend en probleemloos in de andere over. Soms ook niet. Dan zijn er vragen om te stellen, beslissingen om te nemen, tegenslagen om te overwinnen. Humanisten vinden daarin vooral steun bij andere mensen. Mensen hebben mensen nodig om hun weg in het leven te zoeken en te gaan. Dat geldt ook voor veel militairen. Waarden als eigen kracht, eigen geweten, verbondenheid en verantwoordelijkheid zijn belangrijk. Samen ben je sterker, samen maken we elkaar sterker!
