DEALER

There is no precise way to describe DEALER as a whole. There is no ".formed in the Summer of two-thousand and." story, there is no "one guy met another and said 'hey,we should start a band'" story, either. DEALER has been and will continue to be an evolving life-form of a number of individuals coming together and sharing a passion for playing music from our hearts that has taken years in the making.



We have known each other for a number of years and there is an even greater of bands that make up our "ex-members of." resume, but we feel like those numbers and name drops don't make a difference to us, nor should it to you, and that all we need to worry about is playing the music that makes our body sore in the morning and our throats rasp for days. The four of us all have different musical backgrounds and different tastes in music, which we bring to a dimly lit, cramped room in a section of Richmond that is undoubtedly the most foul smelling area of our city, were, more often than not, we battle the effects of alcohol, illegal drugs, and the nerve fraying effects of sobreity, to create and nurture something that all four of us care for deeply. Music being all of our only creative outlets, we don't waste time fucking around trying to impress anybody, we cut straight to the point of our woes, our joys, and our angst to get what we feel out in the open. We don't, and will never, hold ourselves back from what we think or feel. This is our motivation and it can clearly be heard thru our music.



In conclusion, DEALER can be summed up as this;

some type ambiguous entity produced by four men who make something that feels good to make. If you, as a listener enjoy us, then we toast to you. If you, as a listener do not enjoy us, well that isn't our problem to deal with now is it? And, we offer you the same middle finger we offer to our critics.
