there’s a reason to it all. a beginning and somewhere an end. for the sake of brevity, lets look at the facts.



dboy is a man. he writes and plays music using instruments, both internal and external. he’s not a great fan of having his photograph taken,.



he was born after a war and survived the thatcher years. he was raised on a diet of rock and roll, soul, jazz and blues. he survived the Britpop years by forming a band which imploded after autistic differences.



he subsequently drifted into reading books about people, politics and fairies.



his first solo gigs were as part of the edinburgh fringe festival after he was spotted busking with a sponge and a rusty spanner on the royal mile. after that he spent a few years playing all over the country taking in the sites and sounds of this green and pleasant land before releasing three e.p.’s (with the micro-label superherorecordings) which were all well received both critically and commercially.



he engaged, on his journey a roving unstable group of musicians and artists who he calls the traveling circus and who still contribute to recordings and gigs from various manors.



now settled in leeds where he was crowned a ‘local legend’ by no-title magazine, he once again wants to break free the constraints of geography and take his particular brand of songwriting to more and more people.



his relationship with ivolv will surely see this become a reality.
