The band was born in Messina in February 1997 and after some physiological changes takes the current line-up: Salvatore Barresi (voice and backing vocals) - Roberto RebelAngel Romeo (guitar, keyboard) - Dario Arena (guitar) - Sergio Romeo (drums) - John Castriciano (bass). The basic idea of the rising group "DAWN OF EVENTS" takes origin from the will of Roberto Romeo and Dario Arena, with the intention of creating their own music with a personal and recognizable style and due to the feelings of the individual members. It joins the group Salvatore Barresi and then in 2000 the drummer Sergio Romeo and in 2007 bassist John Castriciano, all members simultaneously engaged in other cover bands well known in the Sicilian underground. The main purpose of our group is to create our own musical identity and simultaneously to have fun "on stage" because the stage is the preferred dimension of the band. Our main influences are certainly the masters of the genre hard rock - heavy metal gothic metal and not only, basic groups like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple or more power as Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, although each of us, as a single instrumentalist, like different musical genres and musicians together with pure metal. QUEEN OF SHADOWS ('98) is our first demo completely selfproduct work well reviewed everywhere in Italian and foreign magazines. The songs were created by recording almost everything at home with a digital recorder "Roland", and then suffers the limits of home made registration . The sound of the group is original, violent and at the same time rich in melody. It stands out the work of guitar solo by Dario that embellish the compositions written by Roberto. Live activity of the group goes on with several brilliant performances on stage in Messina. ALCHEMY OF AGES ('00) confirms and enriches the good performances shown with previous work. The songs contains refrains in different languages such as Finnish, Russian, Arabic. The sound, trademark of Dawn Of Events, combining influences power metal, Gothic atmosphere and great solos .The band live activity slows unfortunately because of various personal problems, never stopping however, to conceptualize and compose new songs. Currently, we are back to the scene, we are recording first two demos and working on a new CD.



La band nasce Messina nel Febbraio del 1997 e dopo alcuni fisiologici cambi di formazione prende la line-up attuale: Salvatore Barresi (voce e backing vocals) - Roberto RebelAngel Romeo (chitarra, tastiera) - Dario Arena (chitarra) - Sergio Romeo (batteria) - Giovanni Castriciano (basso). L’idea di creare il gruppo “DAWN OF EVENTS” nasce dalla volontà di Roberto Romeo e Dario Arena, con l’intento di creare musica propria con uno stile personale e riconoscibile grazie alla sensibilità dei singoli componenti. Si unisce al gruppo Salvatore Barresi e successivamente nel 2000 il batterista Sergio Romeo e nel 2007 il bassista Giovanni Castriciano, tutti componenti impegnati contemporaneamente in altre cover band abbastanza conosciute nell’underground siciliano. Scopo principale del nostro gruppo diventa quindi creare una propria identità musicale e contemporaneamente di divertirsi “on stage” in quanto è proprio il palco la dimensione preferita dalla band. Le nostre influenze principali sono sicuramente i maestri del genere hard rock – heavy metal gothic metal e non solo, andando a ricercare sonorità in gruppi influenti come Led Zeppelin e Deep Purple o più power come Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, anche se ognuno di noi, come singolo strumentista predilige generi musicali e musicisti al di fuori dell’ambito prettamente metal. QUEEN OF SHADOWS (‘98) è il nostro primo demo completamente autoprodotto, lavoro ben recensito ovunque in riviste Italiane ed estere del genere. Lavoro realizzato registrando quasi tutto in casa con un registratore digitale “Roland”, risente quindi dei limiti della registrazione casalinga, ma purtroppo la cronica mancanza di fondi che affligge notoriamente tutte le band che non hanno alle spalle supporti economici consistenti ci ha impedito di fare altrimenti. Il sound del gruppo risulta originale, violento e allo stesso tempo ricco di melodia. Spicca il lavoro della chitarra solista di Dario che impreziosisce le composizioni scritte da Roberto. Si intensifica l’attività live del gruppo con diverse brillanti esibizioni nei locali di Messina. ALCHEMY OF AGES (’00) conferma ed arricchisce quanto di buono fatto col precedente lavoro. I brani contengono ritornelli cantati in lingue diverse, quale finlandese,russo,arabo. Il sound, marchio di fabbrica dei Dawn Of Events, unisce influenze power metal, atmosfere gotiche e assoli di grande spessore.Il gruppo rallenta purtroppo l’attività live a causa di diversi contrattempi, senza mai smettere però di ideare e comporre nuovi brani. Alla fine del 2008 entra a far parte, momentaneamente, nel gruppo Stefano Bottari.

Attualmente, tornati sulle scene, stiamo lavorando alla realizzazione di un nuovo CD.
