Dawn In The City

Dawn in the City is Funky Soul Rock and Roll band from Edmonton, Alberta. They play an eclectic mix of up-tempo, funky, soulful music that includes original songwriting and blends it with a tasteful revue of their biggest influences.
Dawn in the City began in 2006 as the brainchild of Bernal Ibarra and Andrea Dawn. Mike Glessing came into the project shortly after. They have recently undergone an interesting line-up change. Andrea has moved on up to her true love as Dawn in the City's new bass player. That being said they needed to find someone willing to fill the role of drummer. William Gold stepped up to the plate with a great attitude and solid skills on the skins.
Front man Bernal Ibarra is a dynamic performer whose style is infused with diverse musical tastes, mixing classic soul vocals, driving R&B organ, brazen funk rhythms and fiery rock and roll guitar. 5 years later they are still hard at it, refining their skills and inspirations to define the Dawn In The City sound, present and future.
