"The term Americana is used and abused, but it was made for Vidal's music." (Rootstime Magazine, Belgium)
"Vidal owes me half a chicken sandwich." (Jackson Browne)
"Vidal's tunes capture the essence of that raw to the bone blues soul out of the past while at the same time spinning some elevated consciousness from the likes of Lao Tzu and Carlos Castaneda inside the notes." (Independent Review, Austin)
Born near the high desert town of Gallup, New Mexico, David Vidal was found by a pack of degenerate coyotes who recklessly abandoned him behind a bar in Pagosa Springs, Colorado wearing nothing but swaddling clothes and a skull cap.
Vidal has tunes in numerous movies and television shows, including My Cousin Vinnie and Friday Night Lights.
"His delivery evokes unspoken feelings as his audience affirms the depth of the emotion he has touched in them. You see it in the way they rock and close their eyes and look triumphant when they come to the other side. This is man's music, that makes it okay to cry in front of your girlfriend." (Greg Snaer, Teri Institute for the Arts, Oceanside)
"He's too old to suck." (Larry Treadwell)
