When you hear David Kroll sing, the first thought that enters your mind is how unique his voice is. The Iowa native has an effortless delivery and a mature tone that is instantly endearing. You won’t hear any forced emotion or self-consciousness from him, just a deep seeded passion that comes from a lifelong love of music.
Piano and classical guitar lessons as a child set Kroll on a musical pilgrimage that continues to this day. By the time he was thirteen, the budding performer had developed a love for country music. Traditionalists like Alan Jackson and George Strait caught the young singer’s ear and helped ignite a burning desire to perform. "I can remember attending an Alan Jackson concert when I was little and wanting to be up there so bad. I walked all around the house that next week singing 'don't rock the JUICE box" Kroll laughs.
For six years starting at age fifteen David spent his weekends developing his chops at local bars and countless fairs in Iowa. Fronting Southeast Iowa's most popular band and frequent trips to Nashville opened numerous doors. He has had the opportunity to play on the same bill with the likes of Montgomery/Gentry,Trick Pony, Joe Diffie, Darryl Worley, Eric Church, Jeff Bates, Chris Young, etc. and has performed in front of thousands of fans on his own.
A chance meeting with Grammy nominated songwriter and country performer Billy Yates lead to an inevitable move to Nashville.
Now a staff writer for Blue Guitar Music Publishing, David writes on a daily basis with several songwriters in town. "I always dreamed of living in Nashville and being a part of the music business. I still have to pinch myself sometimes when I'm sitting in my office right on music row or recording my songs in the studio."

With wholesome good looks and a voice and sound contemporary and distinct enough to capture the attention of a fickle public, David Kroll is on the fast track to stardom. For this young singer/songwriter who missed his share of highschool dances and parties because he was out gigging with his band, music isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life.
