The Dave Hannon Band is a high-energy, three-piece pop rock/acoustic band out of the Pacific Northwest. Established in 2008, the band has played over 350 shows since, and has built a solid fan base across the Pacific Northwest which extends into various regions of the Western United States and beyond. The band includes Dave Hannon on guitar/vocals, Steve Albert on drums/vocals, and Ian Webb on bass/vocals.
Since 2008, the band has released two EPs. The first, “Better for the Long While” (Winter 2008) has a largely acoustic feel and contains six songs, including “Make Your Way In the Dark”. The most recent release, “Bridge” (Winter 2009) offers five songs with a bit more of an electric feel, including the single “Look Out Below”.
“Look Out Below” has already received airplay on regional radio stations and, thanks to kindness of these regional radio stations, has remained in rotation on air in the Pacific Northwest.
The latest single, “High” is featured on a compilation CD from The Hive Recording Studio (SeaTac, WA - www.hiverecordingstudio.com).
In November of 2009, Steve deployed to Afghanistan on behalf of the United States Air Force Reserve. Upon his safe return in late May of 2010, the band wasted no time in resuming work on their first full-length album entitled “This Time Last Year”. Boasting nine new original tracks and completely new versions of two previously recorded songs, this full-length album marks the first time all three current band members have worked together in the studio.
The band has performed in ten states and has opened for such nationally touring acts as Girl Talk, Angie Aparo, Rookie of the Year, Hollywood Heartthrob, and Monty Are I. In 2009 the band completed both spring and summer tours, covering ground throughout the Western United States with over 150 shows in that span of seven months.
Having survived Steve's deployment for most of 2010 and two new albums waiting in the wings for release in early 2011 and tours to follow in the spring, summer and fall, the future looks bright for these three.
