Davide Afzal

Born in 1972, I started playing bass guitar at 17.
In 1999 I graduated at the University of Music in Rome where I studied with italian bass masters Gianfranco Gullotto, Marco Siniscalco and Massimo Moriconi.
Since 1993 I started playing, live and in studio, with a lot of italian artists in many different styles of music, from pop(Aleandro Baldi, Sandro Giacobbe, Pietra Montecorvino, Luca Sepe, Gigi Finizio, Fred Buongusto, ecc) to jazz(american trumpeter Bob Marquart, american percussionist Karl Potter to name a few)from latin music(Diego Moreno from Argentina, pianist Cristiano Viti with his mix of jazz and cuban music) to funky-soul( american singers Bernadette Covington and Patrix Deunas among the others).
I played in TVshows and in some musical shows in theatre, as well as in a lot of recording sessions as a sideman.
Since 2000 I constantly give bass lessons in a lot of music schools and privately at home.
At the moment, along with my activity as sideman, I'm working on my first solo cd.let's see what happens!!! :-)
