Born in Geneva in 1976, David Armada alias “Solo” is originally from Spain. A passionate of electronic music, he bought his first turntables at 15. Very quickly, he realized the lack of events in Geneva and decided to create his own parties.
1995, he creates an event company "Back To Track" which brings him over the years to mix with the biggest producers and House DJ’s: Tony Humphries - Gusto, Tommy Musto - Brian Tappert - Lil Louis - Stephane Pompougnac - Little Louis Vega - Armand Van Helden - Mousse T - Sandy Rivera - Grant Nelson - David Guetta - DJ Disciple - Boris Dlugosh - Kenny Dope Gonzales, - John Marsh - Bob Sinclar - Freddy Turner and many more. As well as Swiss-scene DJ's like Mirco Many - DJ Mendo.
1996, he decides to launch is own musical production. He met Didier Hatt, producer and holder of a recording studio : Hi-Hatt Production. They created a first single which will be on the compilation of the Lake Parade (large yearly parade of electronic music in Geneva which joins together more than 400' 000 people).
1998, he meets DJ Mendo, they start getting jogs together and their "explosive" sets are immediately a dancefloor favorite They then open recording studio. Their first musical project under the pseudonym Dollby catches the interest of the Club Beat label. The first track is "I need your." was launched in October 99, followed by the second, "The musik in me". David and Mendo then meet George Morel who produces their title "Do it" on his Groove One Records label in Miami. Mid 2000, the Dollby-duet is dissolved but still collaborates on different singles.
David Armada then met Manolo Bermudez and Mickael Bardiot. Together they create Leman West. Two Electro-Pop titles come out in 2001 and 2002 which make them explode on prestigious scenes in Switzerland (Montreux Jazz Festival, Street Parade, Mainstation, Lake Parade.).
By 2002, David Armada falls for a more hypnotic and "dark" feel (ref. Danny Tenaglia - Creamer & Stephan K - Deep Dish - Peace Division - DJ Vibe to name a few). From then on whether in the studio or behind turntables he goes full on Tribal Dark House.
2005, one of his productions comes out on the Portuguese label Magnetica (a label from Magna Records/DJ Carlos Manaça). This production is part of one of the compilation of the 5th year of the MAGNA Label. In the same year David Armada mixes for the second time the Lake Parade compilation in Geneva which reaches a large public and is considered one of the best editions.
His last single with DJ Mendo has just been launched on the Swiss Label Clarisse Records. The title called “Desperate” received the support of artists recognized around the world such as Tedd Patterson, Tom Stephan, Kamisshake, Eric Entrena, Chab, Marcelo Castelli, That Kid’Chris…
Italy, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, England all over Europe his dark, hypnotic and explosive style, seduces the public every time and he also often mixes for large Gay events sponsored by Maurocat.
