A touring veteran of multiple jazz festivals, Dave has drawn the admiration of many of his most seasoned and well-respected peers, several of whom have joined him on his forthcoming album. The album both original material and covers showcases Dave's guitar talents with friends like superstar bassist Wayman Tisdale, piano legend Bob James, N'Dea Davenport, Ladybug, sax man Warren Hill and Stevie Wonder-sideman Nathan Watts.

Dave's highly anticipated debut album will be released Spring 2007.  A tour is also planned so that the rest of the world can see for themselves what Dave's high profile jazz friends already know; that he's a talent ready to be noticed.

Dave Sereny's love of music quickly developed when, as a young boy, his older brother Mike took him to the record store and introduced him to an array of musical styles. From that moment onward, Dave endeavored to make music a way of life. At the age of 9, Dave had the wonderful opportunity to see Doobie Brothers in Concert and was truly touched by the melodic experience. Soon afterward, Dave's older brother Mike once again played a significant part in his career path by purchasing a guitar for him when his just 9 years old. Throughout the years, Dave immersed himself in music culture and sampled music from every genre.

While in high school, Dave, who incidentally is the C.E.O. of an independent record label Groove United, played in a big band and participated in various high school competitions.

Dave went on to study classical guitar at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music. Following his studies, Dave collaborated with some of the most revered jazz musicians of our time! Dave collaborated with an assortment of musicians in the New York area. He played with a band called Phoenix, worked with a band called “Stuff”, which incidentally was Aretha Franklin's band, played in the Toronto Jazz Festival, the Tel Aviv Jazz festival, played at the Glen Gould Studio, and had the unforgettably opportunity to play with jazz and rock greats such as Kenwood Denar, Ricthie Cole, Jose Feliciano, Alex Lifeson of Rush, Rex Smith and Mark Whitfield.

Dave has parlayed his musical ingenuity into his very own music label with a view to produce top quality music filled with integrity. Currently, Dave Sereny displays his superb musical abilities on his very own guitar driven Smooth Jazz album, which will no doubt make the rounds throughout the world.
