Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins is an Grammy-Award Winning American songwriter, record producer,musician and record executive working today in the genres of pop, R&B, hip hop and gospel. He is married to Pop singer Joy Enriquez-Jerkins. In 2006 Jerkins was appointed as VP of A&R for Island Def Jam Group



His productions are featured on many current albums and new releases including those from Roc-a-Fella's first lady Teairra Marí, Disturbing Tha Peace artist Shareefa, and upcoming Def Jam R&B vixen Megan Rochell on "The One You Need". R&B singer Ray-J has also released as singles, no less than 3 Darkchild productions from latest album "Raydiation", including the massive "One Wish". He also most notably produced Mary J. Blige's latest single "Enough Cryin'" and Beyoncé's "Deja Vu".
