Dangerous Jim Post

Jim Post, an Indiana-based singer/songwriter, understands music is not solely about skill, but about the vulnerability and isolation that accompanies it. Schooled in rhythm and lead guitar, drums, and bass guitar Jim Post’s music is tender. His compositions are flawless. His delivery is honest.



His sound is a blend of strong rhythm foundations, translatable melodies and intelligent lyrics. But the best, and perhaps most poignant with this performer, is his technique. His original lyrics are composed with intimate contradictions leaving no one estranged, no emotion untouched; giving Post the most prized possession of any true artist: relating to the audience.



For his new album and first major record release, Post chose to work with Forilla Records to shape an intensely personal album reflecting his immediate present. The current songs are raw and honest, much like Post, and strongly deliver the aching duality of this man and his music.



Playing guitar for over a decade, Post gained momentum playing in smaller venues throughout the country, Canada and Jamaica. He’s shared the stage with numerous bands over the years including Disturbed, Taproot, Chevelle, Unloco, and Rich Hardesty. His compositions are well-featured in his concerts, as well as in the performances of a growing number of notable artists.



Post’s credentials as an accomplished songwriter, instrumentalist, harmony vocalist and arranger are clear and all play a part in his new album to be released this year. He’s definitely kept the best yet for his own release and plans to start touring mid May.
